Verified Exchanges. Every API Tested. Every Candle Quality-Checked.
Other platforms list hundreds of exchanges. We verify them. Every exchange in our directory has a live API connection, continuous freshness monitoring, and a published quality score.
How We Verify Every Exchange
Every exchange in our directory passes a continuous five-step verification pipeline. This is not a one-time check — it runs every data cycle, for every exchange.

Why Exchange Data Quality Matters for Traders
Every trading decision starts with data. When a trader compares Bitcoin prices across exchanges, they trust that the numbers on screen reflect real, recent market activity — not stale snapshots from hours ago, not prices from an exchange that quietly shut down last month, and not figures that no one has independently verified. Yet across the cryptocurrency data industry, exchange data quality is rarely measured, almost never published, and seldom questioned. The result is a landscape where platforms report hundreds of “supported” exchanges while providing no visibility into which are actually operational, which are delivering data on time, and which stopped responding weeks ago. For traders, this opacity translates directly into risk: stale prices lead to poor entry points, defunct exchange data pollutes volume calculations, and unverified numbers erode the trust that should underpin every trade.
How NavScope Protects Traders with Independent Verification
NavScope takes a different approach to crypto exchange data. Rather than accepting exchange self-reports or scraping third-party directories, we independently verify every exchange in our directory through a continuous five-step process: API connectivity testing, data format validation, price accuracy cross-referencing, real-time freshness monitoring, and openness score assignment. The result is a smaller, more accurate directory — currently 40 verified active exchanges — where every listing represents a confirmed, working data connection that is monitored around the clock. When data from an exchange goes stale, we know within minutes. When an exchange shows price anomalies, our multi-exchange VWAP comparison flags it automatically. This is not a one-time check; it runs continuously, every data cycle, for every exchange.
How the Openness Score Helps You Choose Reliable Exchanges
NavScope's Openness Score rates each exchange from 0 to 10 based on how transparent and accessible their data infrastructure is. Exchanges that provide standard REST APIs, WebSocket feeds, public access without authentication, and documented rate limits score highest. The scoring methodology is published and auditable — not a subjective editorial rating. A Platinum-rated exchange (score 9-10) delivers data in standard formats with generous rate limits, while a Bronze-rated exchange (score 3-4) may have significant API limitations that affect data timeliness and accuracy. The score specifically measures how open and accessible an exchange's data infrastructure is to independent verification platforms like NavScope — helping traders make informed decisions about which exchange data they can rely on.
