NavScope operates an AI-powered editorial pipeline that generates crypto market analysis, safety scores, and Critical-Question Articles. This policy explains NavScope's editorial standards, AI-production disclosures, the Critical-Question Article protocol, and the right-of-reply process.

1. AI-Powered Editorial Production

NavScope's editorial content — including market analysis articles, safety assessments, and Critical-Question Articles — is produced by NavScope's AI editorial pipeline. All AI-generated content is reviewed by NavScope's human editorial staff before publication.

Every article published by NavScope carries a mandatory AI-production disclosure footer: “AI tools were used in the production of this content.” This footer is non-negotiable and is not customisable by customers or subscribers.

NavScope's human editorial team reviews and approves each long-form article before publication. This approval constitutes NavScope's adoption of the analytical perspective expressed in the article as NavScope's genuine editorial position, supporting the honest opinion defence under the Defamation Act 2005 (Cth).

2. Critical-Question Article Protocol

Critical-Question Articles are published about tokens in the top 500 by market capitalisation, or in NavScope's “chart-ready” pipeline of approximately 4,000+ tokens, that are NOT currently active paid subscribers on a NavScope package — except where NavScope's pre-publication red-flag indicators detect 3 or more concurrent fraud signals (treasury concentration, single-wallet liquidity, anonymous team red flags, or other reasonable suspicions of fraud), in which case subscriber status does not confer immunity from publication.

Before publishing a Critical-Question Article, NavScope follows a structured multi-stage pre-publication outreach process:

MilestoneDeadlineRequired Action
M1 — Outreach sentDay 0NavScope contacts the token project via public channels
M2 — Subscription confirmed48 hours from outreachSubscribe to NavScope Social Media Articles Package
M3 — DNS + Response submitted96 hours from outreachComplete DNS verification AND submit right-of-reply response

If the token project does not respond within the M3 deadline, NavScope publishes the Critical-Question Article on its editorial schedule. A one-time 24-hour extension is available on request if M2 has been achieved.

3. Right-of-Reply

Token projects that become active NavScope subscribers retain the right to submit a response to any Critical-Question Article about their token. The active subscription must be in force at the time of response submission (M3), not merely at M2.

For historical articles (published before a claim was approved under the Token Registration Agreement), Token Issuers may submit responses within 30 days of claim approval, provided the subscription is active at the time of submission.

NavScope retains full editorial control over all articles. Subscriber responses are published as the subscriber's statement alongside NavScope's editorial content. Submitting a response does not grant editorial control over the article's framing or conclusions.

4. Data Snapshot Retention

NavScope retains the analytics and data snapshot that triggered each Critical-Question Article for 7 years post-publication. These snapshots are stored in NavScope's archival S3 buckets and constitute the “proper material” element of the honest opinion defence under Defamation Act 2005 s 31. Snapshots may be produced in legal proceedings.

5. Editorial Independence

Payment for any NavScope product does NOT purchase positive editorial treatment, immunity from Critical-Question Articles (subject to the fraud-indicator override above), or editorial control over article framing, analysis, or conclusions.

NavScope does not take proprietary financial positions in any token it covers. All staff and contractors are bound by NavScope's Staff Trading Policy, which prohibits trading in Covered Tokens during blackout periods.
